Because this new ministry is just getting started, all the info below is subject to change.
The Initial Concept:
The bargain is not just the low price, but the high quality.
Healthy. Happy. Good food for your body and your budget.
May be available in 3 sizes and choices: (final choices are being developed now)
1. The Big Blessing Box will feed a family of 4 for 1 week - or a single person for 1 month. To be priced between $35 - $50 ~ 17 items
2. Fruit & Veggie Box - To be priced around $25
3. Frozen Meat Box - To be priced around $25
- Pulling together local food sources.
- Orders taken once per month - usually 2 weeks before delivery date.
- Network churches, food pantries, and agencies to market and distribute.
- Goal to be up and running in time for the Women’s Expo, March 10, 2012.
- Purchase with PayPal, debit or credit cards, food stamp EBT cards.
- $2 per box handling fee included.

| First step - apply to participate
How to sign up:
Just to let you know, as a follow-up to recent meeting at Together We Can Make A Difference house: We had a long phone discussion with MAF (MidAmericaFoods) and need each of you wanting to participate to complete the following steps to apply.
1) Follow this link http://www.midamericafoods.com/ordersys/group-create.html
to the Mid America Foods website.
2) Apply for a Group Account. That allows you as an organization to take orders.
3) Together We Can Make A Difference - First Fruits Groceries is called an OUTREACH CENTER with MAF. Basically it’s the drop site and place to pick up food orders for your GROUP. Due to the combined effectiveness of the trucking docks, forklift truck, space, and kindness of the owners the Sercumbe Trucking facility,
3301 Shirley Drive, will be our distribution place.
4) When you go to place an order online, you will need to create a “individual customer account”. Then this ONE TIME ONLY if you want to place a sample order for January, select Sturgis, MI Nazarene as the OUTREACH CENTER where Cyril & Wendy will pick it up on Sat., Jan 28th. We will call you when we’re returning to Jackson.
5) We are hopeful that all will be set for us to be ready for February. At that time you would select TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE-First Fruits Groceries, Jackson, MI for your OUTREACH CENTER.
We just were told that MAF does take Food Stamps. We will NOT be ready to take EBT Food Stamps to begin with, but Wendy will work on getting an application for our Food Stamp use. We’re still not sure how that will work for those of you that are not in Jackson, or if each of you will need to have your own Food Stamp application. We’ll know more information on this soon and will let you know as soon as we know.
Please let me know when you have completed your Group Account application and have received confirmation from them.
